More about our history

2015
The beginning

he I INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF LASERTHERAPY counted with the participation of Profa. J. Anders (Uniformed School of Health Sciences), all PPG professors in Biophotonics Applied to Health Sciences (PPGB) and professors indicated by the Brazilian Society of Laser in Medicine and Surgery. The event was opened to all undergraduate students involved in scientific initiation projects and in the School of Science Program (a program whose objective is to prepare undergraduate students for activities of methodology, practices and techniques of scientific research, providing the student with the theoretical and , mainly different scenarios of practical experience, under the guidance of researchers from the Strict Sensu programs of UNINOVE, before enrolling in the program of Scientific Initiation), because being the first forum, satisfaction is the final result.

2016
Photobiomodulation

In its second edition, the II INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF LASERTHERAPY, took place between 03 and 04 November 2016, the event invited speakers. Dr. Praveen R. Arany of the University at Buffalo, USA and Prof. Dr. Hans Peter Berlien, Senior Advisor at Elisabeth Hospital (Berlin, Germany) and Vice President of the International Society for Vascular Anomalies Study. In addition they also presented lectures, Prof. Dr. Carlos Eduardo Pinfildi (Prof. of the Department of Physical Therapy at the Federal University of São Paulo), Me. Simone Oliveira Sierra (Head of the Primary Care Section of the Municipal Health Department of São Bernardo do Campo) and several students and ex- the PPGB students. With more than 700 subscribers we beat the record the free registration was important to achieve the goal of being the biggest event focused on photobiomodulation.

2017
Results

The III INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF LASERTHERAPY was attended by Profs Drs Tayyaba Hasan (Harvard Med. School); Imran Rizvi (Harvard Med. School), Lotharl Lilge (University of Toronto), Antônio Pinheiro (Fed. Martha S. Ribeiro (Institut of Energy and Nuclear Research); Carlos Pinfild (Fed University of SP) and Marcia Marques (University of São Paulo). The poster session provided strength partnerships between the various participating institutions. It also favored the presentation of new scientific methods and dissemination of results by IBF participants, favoring the exchange of information and strengthening institutional partnerships, national or international. The III FIB counted on more than 1500 enrolled and more than 100 works submitted, being the greater event of Latin America in number of participants

2018
Health

In 2018, at the IV INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF LASERTHERAPY, 1079 were enrolled making this major event of Biophotonics of Brazil in number of subscribers and scope of topics. This edition of the event was attended by the speakers: Prof. Dr. Diego Longo (Laser Medicine Institute of Firenze); Prof. Doctor Leonardo Longo (Institute of Laser Medicine Firenze), Prof. Dr. Tianhong Dai (Harvard Medical School), Prof. Dr. Adenilson Souza (UERJ); Profa. Dr. Silvia Nuñez (Univ. Brazil); Dr. Paulo Bossini (NUPEN AND UFSCAR), Profa. Dr. Rosana Lizarelli (IFSC), in addition to the PPG professors in Biofotonica, has been part of the UNINOVE nursing team. The 85 papers were submitted to the IV International Forum of Laser Therapy, were accepted for publication in a journal. The gratuity of the event was an important inclusion factor, since the number of registrations for students was high and were exposed to extracurricular knowledge to increase the importance of knowledge.

2019
Innovation

In 2019, there was a change in the name of the event and what would be the 5th LASERTHERAPY INTERNATIONAL FORUM was called the 5th BIOPHOTONICS INTERNATIONAL FORUM.
